Welcome to CMUNCE! January 15-18, 2009
Update: April 26, 2009
Preparations for CMUNCE 2010 are underway! Check back around June 1st or email info@cmunce.org for more information.
Update: January 20, 2009We sincerely apologize for the circumstances at closing ceremonies. The fire alarm was an unforeseeable and unprecedented event and we regret the confusion which ensued because we were unable to get back into Lerner Hall. Facilities has traced the problem to a water pipe that burst in another building which held the main alarm panels. As a result of a short circuit to that panel, several buildings had fire alarms go off. Because of this massive failure, the alarm could not be shut off in the building itself as the problem was not inherent to Lerner.
We are very sorry to not be able to recognize all award winning delegates as well as every single delegate for their hard work during the conference. Unfortunately, circumstances at closing did not allow us to do so.
A list of award winning delegates has been sent to all advisors and head delegates and is also available here. Although most chairs were able to find their delegates and give out the awards, there are some exceptions. As a result, new awards will be mailed to all delegates.
We would also like to congratulate Princeton High School who won our Best Delegation award this year. Princeton High's delegates exhibited a level of excellence and dedication to debate in each and every committee that is commendable.
Again, we would like to sincerely apologize for the abrupt ending to closing and as a small thank you to all schools for their patience and support, we will be mailing a photo CD of the slide show to all delegations. This will be included with the awards packet.
Congratulations Delegates! We look forward to seeing you next year.
