Committee Description
Simulating a professional newspaper environment, the Press Corps will be covering the daily proceedings and events of CMUNCE. The members of the Press Corps will serve as reporters and journalists producing a daily newspaper that highlights the achievements of the various committees. The Press Corps will be a crucial element of the conference not only in documenting its proceedings, but also in being a critical voice in writing editorial pieces and posing questions to the various committees. Members of the Press Corps will be integral in injecting the voice and concerns of the public into the discussion. Prior to the conference itself, reporters will be assigned specific committees to cover based on their own preferences and interests. At the conference, members of the Press Corps will discuss journalistic integrity and reporting practices, with a special focus on the role of technology and the Internet in changing the nature of modern journalism. In addition to writing and peer-editing articles for the conference's daily newspaper, the reporters will also participate in Press Conferences with the various committees, which provide members of the Press Corps the opportunity to pose questions directly to committee members.
